According to the research study it is assumed
that Banner advertising will dim search advertising this year, it is first time
ever in US.
It is expected that banner advertisements from
digital advertising including

For every 5 dollars spend on all types of digital
advertising this year, 1 of those dollars will be going to banner advertising.
Video advertising is also expected to increase;
marketers will spend money to advertise themselves through videos.
Video will make up
14.3 percent of ad spend, up from 12.8 percent last year. Ad spend on rich media
is expected to grow by 36.4 percent, driven by the adoption of “out-stream” and
in-feed video ad formats.
Most importantly, mobile is the first
priority of marketers this year they will prepare the strategies by keeping
mobile on top their list. Of the
22.58 billion expected to be spent on digital advertising, 77.5 percent of it
will be spent to reach people on mobile devices.
Banner advertisers
will be used mostly by the marketers they will spend more on these ads from
digital advertising.
These ads will be
in priority because ads blocking has entered the space so to keep themselves on
protective side they are focusing on banner ads.
So, that their
money is not wasted if they advertise on sites and people are able to block
advertisements on the phones and desktops, banner ads are in priority due to
this reason as well in the market.
